Dance Discovery Foundation Board of Directors and Advisors are active, committed members of its community, who individually bring unique talents and perspectives to the table. They carry out the responsibilities of attending board meetings, staying abreast of the nonprofit's activities, providing input and serve on any committees they are appointed to, such as, finance, program, or fundraising and nominating committees.
Each board member gives their time, services and expertise in executing their roles and responsibilities with nothing expected in return other than to see the progress and growth of our mission.
As individuals, each governing Board member makes contributions whether for annual or special appeals, each to his or her own level of financial means giving us 100% board financial support participation.

Jena Minnick-Bull is the Founder and Executive Director of Dance Discovery Foundation and has been the Owner, Director and President of Dance Unlimited Inc. since 2000, controlling operations of South Coast Conservatory and Dance Supplies Unlimited. 30 years of dance training and performance experience and 20 years of dance instruction and choreography. Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Minor in Psychology from Johnson & Wales University, Magnum Cum Laude. Graduate from Casalino School of Ballet in Salt Lake City, UT. Performed with Ballet West, Utah Ballet, Saddleback Civic Light Opera, and Pacific Civic Light Opera. Former Board Member of Dance In Action, a California non-profit organization. Former member and current judge for DECA, formerly Delta Epsilon Chi and former member of the National Association of Professional Women. Jena was honored to be a nominee for the "CEO of the Year Award" from the Orange County Business Journal in 2016 and the recipient of "The Woman to Watch" under 40 Award.
Rachelle Wilson is the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Operations for Dance Discovery Foundation. She has been with DDF since 2010, starting as a Board Member and then accepting the roll as Treasurer in 2013. In 2014, Rachelle officially joined the nonprofit's staff as CFO and head of Operations. Rachelle is also a trained singer, actor and dancer who has worked and recorded music with Producers, Allan Rich, Michael Jay, Bernie Becker and others. Performing arts training and experience since 1978, with Showtime, The Ballet Conservatory, West Coast Performing Arts Center, and The Saddleback Musical Theatre Program. She has performed in many musical theatre productions, voiceovers, soundtracks, concerts, demos, songs, and special appearances and is a Theater Arts graduate. In 2018 Rachelle was honored to be a nominee for the "CFO of the Year Award" from the Orange County Business Journal, and "The Woman of the Year Award".
Rising Stars Program Director/Secretary
Ali Terrones is the Creator/Director of The Rising Stars Special Needs Program. She took on the roll of Secretary in 2014 and Chairman of the Kids Helping Kids Through Dance, Dance-a-thon in 2016. Ali holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and Dance from California State University Fullerton, with an emphasis in Elementary Education and a minor in dance. Trained in ballet, tap, jazz, gymnastics, modern, African, lyrical, and hip-hop. Dance Instructor for the past 15 years. Competitive dancer and choreographer. Former member of Unity Dance Ensemble and Architecture, a Modern Dance Company based out of Orange County.
Dance Break Program Director/NXT LVL Company Director
Mychal Gabb is the Creator/Director of our Dance Break Program (previously known as Lunch Break) and the Director of the NXT LVL Company. He is a Hip hop, Tap, and Break Instructor and has been dancing since he could walk, not in the studio, but in his grandma’s kitchen. He taught himself how to break, dance, and pop n’ lock by watching music videos and Michael Jackson. He started his professional dance career when he went to college. He choreographed for his show choir and performed many dances for school functions while in high school. Mychal has trained in Ballet, Jazz, Swing, Salsa and Modern, but his passion lies in Tap and Hip Hop. He's Performed all over southern california with the company her's 2 lyfe and also worked at Disney’s California Adventure in the Pixar Play Parade as a “Green Army Man”.
Ambassador/Rising Stars Co-creator
Gracie Doran co-creator and inspiration for The Rising Stars, our dance movement class for children with Special needs. She is a mentor for this class and also an ambassador for Dance Discovery Foundation and our Kids Helping Kids Through Dance Campaign. Gracie is also an ambassador for the Make a Wish Foundation and the American Heart and Stroke Association. Gracie's unbelievable journey, her inspiration and passion for dance and her incredible story has touched lives and been recognized across the world. She has spoken on behalf of these foundations and her experience with dance therapy at WeDay Televised Celebration in 2016, and at the White House in 2017. Gracie Doran was the spokes person for the Rising Stars at the 2017 Dance-a-thon raising funds for the program. The Rising Stars Program and Gracie Doran was published in the OC Register and the OC Times, they also performed at the Summer Dance Festival and at Capistrano High School. Gracie continues her advocacy today and is now in college studying to be a lawyer.
Amanda Kay White
CEPA Pre-professional Dance Program/Compass Dance Director
Amanda Kay White is a founding member of Orange County, California’s critically acclaimed dance company Backhausdance. Amanda is an alumni of Chapman University with a BFA in Dance Performance and a BA in Communication Arts with an emphasis in Advertising. She is currently attending Jacksonville University in pursuit of her MFA in Choreography. Her works have been seen at Pasadena Dance Festival, American Celebration, The Core Collective, Epilepsy Network Benefit Concert, Chapman Touring Company, American College Dance Festival, MixMatch Dance Festival and Chapman University faculty concerts. Amanda is currently on faculty at Chapman University, Orange County School of the Arts and South Coast Conservatory. Along with teaching at SCC, she is the executive director of their national award winning dance team and managing director of the jazz department
Jeremy "Mookie" Washington

Mookie, is one talented dancer From Huntington Beach, Ca. He was originally a Bboy 1st. He represents, and has represented Fallen Kings, M.V. Dance, M.V. Crew, LA Breakers, & SickStep. He is an individual who loves life, and everything that comes with it. With his extensive background in dance, and choreography, his work has been showcased all over the dance scene. His credits include. Americas Best Dance Crew, Hip Hop International, Americas Got Talent, Choreography for Music Video "Nerdy, & I know It", San Juan Hills High School, Dana Hills High School, San Clemente High School, West Side Ministries, Studio 429, Afta Shock S.D., Phunk Phenomenon, Neon, S.I.O, Rock City 11, Maxt Out, NBA finals Game 3,4, & 6 2010 of Lakers & Celtics, Urban Street Jam, Vibe Dance Comp., La. Ballet Master Enton Hoxha
Youth Ballet Masters Program/South Coast Ballet Theatre Director
Born in Tirane, Albania, Enton started his dance education at the National Ballet Academy in Albania. At age 15 Enton was invited by the Russia Embassy to continue his studies at the Bolshoi Academy School in Moscow, Russia with legendary dancers Mikhail Lavrovsky, Leonid Jdanov, Nikolay Dorohov, Mikhail Mineev and Nikolay Tikhomirov. Mr. Hoxha graduated from the Bolshoi Academy School with a Master's degree and danced as a first soloist with the Moscow Classical Ballet and Russian Chamber Ballet 'Moscow' touring Europe, Asia and the United States. During his tours Mr. Hoxha was invited to be part of the World Premier of Madam Leonely by choreographer Kiril Simonov, and performed in the Gala Concert with Ballet Stars of St.Petersburg with famed dancers Irma Nioradze , Ilya Kuznetsov, Yulia Makhalina, Igor Zelensky, Daria Pavlenko, Yevgeny Ivanchenko, Faruk Razumatov, and Nikolay Ciscaridze in Albert Hall, London. His vast repertoire includes principal roles in Carmen, Cinderella, Coppelia, Don Quixote, Esmeralda, Giselle, La Baydere, La Fill Mal Gardee, La Vivandiere, Le Corsaire, Napole, The Nutcracker, Paquita, The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Waltz of White Orchids by Konstatin Uralsky (choreographer), and Otello's Birthday by Radu Pokletar (choreographer).
Ballet Mistress Maria Tikhomirova
Youth Ballet Masters Program/South Coast Ballet Theatre Director
Maria Tikhomirova was born in Moscow and was trained at the Moscow Classical Academy. In 2006, Ms. Tikhomirova received a PhD degree with high honors from the Bolshoi Ballet Academy as Choreographer/Master Ballet Teacher in Classical Dance, the Vaganova method and Character Dance, under the direction of legendary Choreographer and Professor Yuri Grigorovich. In 2006, she choreographed the ballet Song of the Rain for the Moscow Classical Ballet and in 2007, she choreographed The Nutcracker for the Moscow Ballet. During her student years at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy, Ms. Tikhomirova also staged several concert productions including the Albinoni Adagio in G minor by Remo Giazotto, Classical Symphony by Sergei Prokofiev, the Adagio from L'Arlesienne by Georges Bizet, Pas de deux by Rossini, Grand Pas and Trio to music by Gershwin, Flamenco Dance and Towards the Light to music by Howard Shore, Russian Folk Dance and Sprinters to music from Tarantino's Pulp Fiction sound track, Waltz by Johann Strauss, and a Passacaglia by Handel. In 2006, she choreographed the ballet Song of the Rain for the Moscow Classical Ballet and in 2007, The Nutcracker for the Moscow Ballet. From 2001 to 2006, Ms. Tikhomirova was a ballet dancer with the Moscow Classical Ballet Theater directed by Natalia Kasatkina and Vladimir Vasilyov. She toured as part of this company in the USA, France, Germany, Switzerland, Israel, Italy, Portugal, Spain, China, Greece and Turkey. Ms. Tikhomirova performed solo parts in ballets including Don Quixote, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet, The Firebird, Spartacus, Cinderella, The Creation, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Holy Spring and many others. Her training for these roles was led by prominent Ballet Masters including Natalia Kasatkina, Tatiana Popko, Marina Kolpakchi and Natalia Taborko. Maria frequently collaborates with Ballet Masters throughout the world including Anna Tikhomirova (Bolshoi Theatre), Evgenia Savarskay (Kremlin Ballet Theatre), and Kirill Ermolenko (Kremlin Ballet Theatre), who are recipients of many prestigious awards, she prepares dancers for International Ballet Competitions and at the Olympic Reserve Sport School in Moscow, Russia she has given Ballet Master Classes to rhythmic gymnasts.
Director, choreographer and performer for many theatres and schools throughout Southern California including South Coast Conservatory, Saddleback College and Civic Light Opera, Laguna Playhouse, Pacific Symphony’s Arts-x-press and the Orange County School of the Arts, where she has been teaching in the musical theatre conservatory since 2002. Taught jazz in the elective dance department and directed the summer program, Best of Broadway. Coordinated the acting and singing classes for nationally recognized community outreach program, Camp OCSA. Theatre Arts degree and is a third generation drama teacher. Some choreography credits include Seussical the Musical, Guys and Dolls, Cinderella, Babes In Arms, Little Women, Chess, Once On This Island, Broadway’s New Millennium, All Shook Up (2011 JRAY Award for Choreography), and The Wiz.
Brenda holds a Bachelor's Degree in Dance from CSU Fullerton and has been dancing for over 2 decades. Brenda Rodriguez was a teacher at OCSA from 2003-2014 where she taught Jazz Dance for Electives and Dance History for both Commercial Dance and the Classical & Contemporary Dance conservatories. She also worked with the California Arts Center program and the community service program, Camp OCSA. She performed at the Disney Theme Parks for over 6 years in various parades, shows and special events such as Eureka! A California Parade, the Electrical Parade, Grad Night Tour 2004 and Fantasmic! She was the Choreographer and Show Director for the 2003 national tour for Barbie with Mattel. She has also managed and toured with several special events for Nike, New Balance and Hershey, with Latin pop singer, Thalia. As a dancer/actress, she was in the original cast of the musical staging of The Who’s Quadrophenia for Luna C Productions. Most currently she was a co-choreographer and dancer in the musical adaptation of The Creation of the World & Other Business. Brenda has also worked as a Stage Manager for Disneyland's Guest Talent Programs and Special Events at Disney, The Jonas Bros. 3-D Concert Movie and on the pre-game and half-time entertainment for Super Bowl XLIII.
